“An excellent album… I love him, he’s great & I’d say he’s got four or five REALLY good tunes!” Noel Gallagher

“A Geordie superstar in the making” Sam Fender

“Few artists embody the spirit of authenticity quite like Andrew Cushin” Notion

Firmly established as an artist’s artist with the likes of Noel Gallagher, Sam Fender, Louis Tomlinson and Pete Doherty all in his corner, Andrew Cushin tops off what’s been a brilliant year with this reimagined version of his track New World Blazing, originally from the album Love Is For Everyone.

Having just finished his UK tour with a sold-out show at Newcastle’s O2 City Hall & now off to tour the States & Canada throughout November, Cushin’s new single New World Blazing, produced by Gareth Nuttall (Lottery Winners, Frank Turner & The K’s), is capturing DJs throughout the land with its supercharged wall-of-sound that powers throughout the track, while showing just how far he’s come from his acoustic roots. Propelled by a classic indie-rock riff, New World Blazing blends raw energy with accomplished songwriting to create his most potent statement to date – and its driving, high-octane vitality is fast making it a live fan-favourite too. Lyrically it’s a song in which Cushin vows to determinedly stick to his ambitions, regardless of what obstacles stand in his way.

The Newcastle born Cushin was originally a goalkeeper for Newcastle Benfield FC’s youth team, during which time he was introduced to Noel Gallagher, who then went on to produce & play guitar on his single Where’s My Family Gone, released on Virgin Records.

He then signed to Peter Doherty’s label Strap Originals releasing his debut album Waiting For The Rain (produced by Manic Street Preachers producer Dave Eringer). The album remained at No 1 on Music Week’s Official Independent Album Breakers Chart for 3 weeks while surging into the Top 10 on the Independent Albums & Record Store Charts. During this period, Cushin became an increasingly big draw on the live front, particularly in Newcastle where he became the youngest Geordie to sell-out the City Hall with 4,500 people in attendance over two nights.  He also opened for Louis Tomlinson on 36 dates of his Faith In the Future world tour, playing such iconic venues as The Hollywood Bowl & Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

With his fanbase continuing to grow, Cushin then went on to support Noel Gallagher on his 2024 summer tour, as well as headlining the Mouth of the Tyne Festival that same summer. He then finished off 2024 with a headline slot at Aston Martin Aramco Formula One’s team event The Soundcheck.

In May 2025, Cushin did a series of intimate acoustic record store performances promoting his 2nd album Love Is For Everyone, which is released on Manchester’s LAB Records. Cushin’s songs celebrate community, friendship & love – and especially the strengths that come with being part of a community.  Be sure to follow on your preferred socials for updates & more.
