Following their first release of 2026 Beautiful Lonely, which enjoyed early support from Radio X’s John Kennedy & is currently sitting on the station’s X-Posure playlist, Manchester’s melodic-rock outfit Rosellas release Better Love – the second track from their upcoming Shadow Dancing EP.

Inspired by a mix of artists ranging from the sing-along choruses of Sam Fender to the psychedelic, reverb-soaked guitars associated with the likes of Pink Floyd & The War on Drugs, Better Love embraces cutting-edge production techniques & whispery harmonies. On the instrumentation front, sparse touches of electric guitar leave room for the track’s acoustic guitars to drive the song forward in a gentle & mellow manner.

As for the lyric, the band explain: “Better Love is almost sung in third person, as if it’s a promise to yourself that things will get better. There’s a real nostalgic feel to the lyric, as if you’re looking back on your life & wondering where the time has gone. It’s almost saying, that although we might not be where we had wanted to be in life by this point in time, that’s ok”.

Rosellas are looking to build on what was a highly successful year in 2025 with appearances on Talk Sport live radio, for an interview & acoustic performance, gaining features on Radio X’s X-posure show with John Kennedy & slots on Spotify playlists The Official Formula 1, Betfred Super League, Wimbledon’s Official Playlist & more.

Better Love & the upcoming 5 track EP Shadow Dancing are dropping via Glasgow-based label First Run Records in early summer, after Rosellas signed a multi-EP record deal with the forward thinking & artist-led label.

Growing up individually in Manchester, Rosellas are Drew Selby (vocals / guitar), Euan Mail (guitar), Ollie Appleby (bass) & Mark Zanker (drums). A chance meeting between Drew & Euan on the train back from a Blossoms gig was the catalyst that kick-started the band. Inspired musically by The War On Drugs, Sam Fender & The La’s, lyrically by Ian Brown, Morrissey & Noel Gallager to name a few, Rosellas have gone on to headline This Feeling’s Isle of Wight & Truck Fest stages, play a sold out show at Manchester’s Academy 2, & enjoy radio support from BBC Introducing, BBC 6Music’s Chris Hawkins, Radio X’s John Kennedy & many more.
