Fat Dog – Go Fuck Urself
Raucous South London band Fat Dog have shared their bouncy, ecstatic synthpop jam Go Fuck Urself with its huge singalong chorus. As frontman, songwriter and chief rabble rouser Joe Love coolly sings: “Some jokers play the same old game / No one to annoy / Find a mirror and the person to blame,” the song breaks out into a euphoric, technicolour anthem – an ode to escapism when the thing you are trying to escape is yourself. Fat Dog have confirmed a mammoth UK & European headline tour including a hometown show at London’s Brixton Academy on 24th October. Before that, the band will play their largest ever shows supporting the Foo Fighters at 3 European arena dates, support Kneecap at their Crystal Palace show in London alongside a summer of festivals including End of the Road, Dour, Reeperbahn, Bearded Theory and more.

So Good – Orange Juice & Milk
Provocative pop-punk princess So Good is back with her highly infectious new single Orange Juice & Milk – the most sarcastic love song ever written & a song for anyone who’s been told to ‘calm down’, or that they’re ‘too much or too loud’… yep, she’s got you covered! Bursting at the seams with obnoxious attitude, Orange Juice & Milk is dripping with confidence & although it’s subversively hidden at first by a deceivingly simple pop production, the conversational tone of the verses make it feel like she’s talking to you directly. So Good states: “There’s something really visceral about the combination of orange juice & milk, & having now tried several combinations of the two, I can confirm that they taste awful & really don’t go together.”

ill peach – SMALL TALK
LA-based grit-pop outfit ill peach have shared the new single SMALL TALK, taken from their upcoming album EAVESDROPPING and it’s a high-energy alt-pop/indie-punk release with experimental, slightly edgy production. The track is about wanting something real and exciting instead of a boring, surface-level connection. Sonically, the track shares a spiritual neighborhood with Remi Wolf. It possesses that same kaleidoscopic, slightly chaotic energy—where DIY grit meets high-definition pop production. The vocal delivery is acidic and direct, cutting through the hazy synth layers with a refreshing lack of politeness.

Pete Fij – Don’t Bring Me Sunshine
Pete “Fij” Fijalkowski has shared jangly new single Don’t Bring Me Sunshine and states: “This was written as an anti love song, though musically I wanted to juxtapose it’s ‘bah-humbug’ lyrics with the joyous feeling of the exhilaration of driving fast (though always within the speed limit of course) with the windows wide open, the rush of wind in your hair, and your best friend sitting next to you. Who needs love when you’ve a got a full tank of petrol, the stereo cranked up to full and the whole of Summer lying ahead on the heat-hazed open road?” Pete Fij makes songs that brim with melody, wit and understated charm. Slinging back on the electric guitar, ditching the job, upping the BPMs, and falling in love again has resulted in Pete embracing his fuzzed up dream-pop past but also throwing in elements of pop and electronica.

Mystery Jets – Black Sage
Mystery Jets have broken their four-year silence with raucous new single Black Sage. The track leans on reverb-heavy production, driving percussion and scuzzy guitar work. Frontman Blaine Harrison explains: “For centuries, black sage has been used by indigenous communities in smudging ceremonies, where the smoke is believed to clear away negative energies or unwanted spirits. But what if we are vessels for those energies, and the ghosts from our pasts have been living inside us all along? The message of the song is that healing is inseparable from suffering, but there is beauty to be found in the broken.” The track is a pulsating, growling psych rock beast.

Richard Norris – River’s Song
London producer and electronic artist Richard Norris has revealed his transportive new track River’s Song. It’s an immediately dreamy piece, opening with a memorable top-line that takes its time to distort as plucked arpeggios and warm bass tones appear, guiding it toward an eerie wash of analogue textures. The song serves as the lead single for his solo album 8MM and acts as a reflective, lo-fi sonic score meant to evoke the flickering visuals of a scratched old 8mm film. Richard has a life long passion for ambient and deep listening music.

Clutter – GirlVsHeart
Stockholm-based four-piece Clutter have shared their explosive anthem GirlVsHeart. It arrives as a mosh-pit-ready dive into the chaos of romance and emotional conflict, and the latest glimpse into their grunge and post-hardcore-infused spirit. Clutter explain: “GirlVsHeart is a loud and all-consuming rock song. It’s a heavy-hitting, almost arena rock like song about love. The contrast between the lyrical topic and the sound and attitude creates a feeling of urgency that pierces straight through the heart”. Driven by jagged riffs, pounding rhythms, and a raw, fiercely vulnerable vocal performance, the track thrives on the direct tension between abrasive, distorted guitars and fuzzy melodies.

Inspiral Carpets – Drag The Bag
Inspiral Carpets are back with their first single in 12 years, the anthemic Drag The Bag, inspired by the grind of life and the universal idea that everybody is carrying something. Direct, melodic and built for live crowds, it captures the classic immediacy of Inspiral Carpets while sounding completely of the present. Recorded at Blueprint Studios in Manchester, the track arrives 43 years into the band’s story, not as a nostalgia exercise, but as the sound of a group still evolving, still ambitious and still creatively driven. Built in Manchester, recorded in Manchester and released by a Manchester label (Scruff of the Neck), the project reflects the city’s enduring culture of independence, resilience and reinvention.

Rosellas – Shadow Dancing
Mancunian indie-rock outfit Rosellas have released their EP Shadow Dancing – a collection of songs that highlight the band’s knack for writing bright and uplifting melodies along with emotionally aware lyrics, all brought to life with a production heavily influenced by the analogue warmth of vinyl. This upbeat title track explores the relationship between two people when one of them seems to ‘shine’. The band state: “We love the phrase Shadow Dancing which fit perfectly with what we wanted to say – but again, like we do in most of our writing, we’ve left this one open to interpretation. The middle 8 section is the most synth-heavy part of the EP with layers of saturated synth pads processed through a tremolo to give it that helicopter-like sound. The War On Drugs are exceptional in their use of synth in this way to create scene changes – listen to their live album Live Drugs & you’ll see where we were influenced here.”

La Sécurité – Deny
La Sécurité have released Deny, the final single from their upcoming second album Bingo! The band say: “Initially written in French and translated to English, the song deals with dysfunctional relationships and getting rid of burdens in your life. Standing up for yourself. This doesn’t work for me; I’m out. The bass hook was stolen from Standard Emmanuel, Félix’s solo project.” The video was directed by Béatrice Cuierrier-Legault who states: “For the Deny music video, I wanted to visually create tableaus for each character, based on different aesthetics, cantered around the concept of denial. Since La Sécurité is mainly composed of millennials, I wanted to highlight 90s and post-punk influences, but also the arrival of the internet and new digital creation methods.”
