Indie lo-fi artist Rainn Byrns releases his debut album New In Town on October 14th in digital, vinyl & CD formats. Following on from last year’s Country Living EP, the Texas born, Swindon bred South Londoner has put out singles Never Ending Story and Big this summer, as part of the build up towards the album’s autumn release. As with his previous releases, Rainn recorded the self-produced album in his bedroom using only analogue equipment – a testament to his multiple talents and true to the genre name ‘bedroom-pop’.
With artwork that pictures a fresh faced Rainn on the day he left home, New In Town is a collection of songs that are jam packed with melody and written from the heart with total honesty (even if it is a bit ugly sometimes), catching a mood that can be full of sadness yet equally hopeful.
