This week, Romel has come out as the top dog with his latest track, Mind Blown. The London-based artist secured his place at number one in Music Week‘s Black Music Charts. In an epic battle of the charts and up against some of music’s big names, Romel came through with the radiant afro-pop track.

This is after an intense ten-week journey that involved a stand-off against sonic powerhouses, Drake and Tinie. In spite of it all, Romel was able to knock them from them top spot and claim it as his own, making Mind Blown the number one above Moncler and Drake‘s Tik Tok marvel, Toosie Slide.

“The highly talented Romel, has such an interesting story . . . what an artist!” BBC Three Counties

The track was written by Romel, who describes it as “a wave of positivity“. However, Mind Blown was produced by the esteemed Slic Vic, who is currently working alongside Tinie Tempah.

Mind Blown could be the key to an exciting and promising year for Romel, following an successful 2019.
