Having self-released a string of singles which have enjoyed support from BBC Introducing’s Jericho Keys & even a performance on Capital FM’s lunchtime show, Hull-based indie-rock outfit The Stance team up with local youth-project Warren Records to release She’s Not The One (They Were Right) – a song about dysfunctional relationships & seeing the wood from the trees, all wrapped up in some explosive drumming & angst-ridden guitars.
Co-produced by The Warren’s in-house producer Adam Pattrick & band member Jaz (who also wrote the lyric from experience), the song was written from the perspective of someone close to Jaz, offering an insight into how they saw the situation, compared to what he was seeing through his own lens, while in the relationship.
Stoked about working with The Warren, the band say: “this release marks the beginning of our journey into a new sound & it’s an incredibly exciting time for us. Working with The Warren has pushed our music forward & this song in particular is a favourite for both us & the fans at our gigs who sing it back to us every time”.
