hooks are perfectly weighted”

With a strong live following in their hometown of Hull and continued support from BBC Humberside’s Introducing DJ Alan Raw, 4 piece indie rock band Let Man Loose unleash their new single Two Way Glass – a ferocious fuzz guitar extravaganza, that explores the consequences of a generation immersed in Instagram’s picture-perfect culture.

Two Way Glass started life when the band made use of the PRS Foundation Open Fund to work with multi-award winning producer Andy Seward, known for his work with Radiohead’s Philip Selway and his production work on Kate Rusby’s Mercury nominated album Sleepless. Having formed the basis of the recording with Andy, Let Man Loose then went into Hull’s Studio 94 for finishing touches and to mix the release. Two Way Glass sees lyricist Marc Ainley scurry into the minefield of today’s technology-infected society, where gen-z and millennials, project their carefully crafted image galleries out to their friends and the world in general. “I feel I want to tear down this façade on Two Way Glass. People often think the deception is impenetrable, but it’s far more transparent than it seems. I’m as guilty of it as anyone else, broadcasting my life in the best light with my own personal showreel. It’s as important as ever to realise that everyone’s at it and not to use it as a barometer to compare your own growth against others” says Marc about the release.

Let Man Loose is Marc Ainley (guitar/lead vocals), Jamie Rothery (guitar), Sam Howell (bass/BVs) and Daniel Griffin (drums). The band formed out of the ashes of former Hull band Felony, all brought together through a love of Queens of the Stone Age and the associated Palm Springs low desert scene, LA band Cherry Glazerr, Drenge & the Arctic Monkeys. Describing themselves as boisterous & energetic comrades with bags of enthusiasm, Let Man Loose are looking to take things up a gear this summer with the release of Two Way Glass and an ever increasingly busy on-going gig schedule.
