Following the release of the singles It Was No One’s Fault but Mine I Must Confess and On The Run earlier this year, which have enjoyed support from BBC 6Music & BBC London’s Gaby Roslin, plus editorial coverage from The Vinyl District, Punktastic and more, transatlantic indie artist Louise Aubrie releases her latest (and fourth) album When I Don’t Love You I’ll Let You Know – a body of work inspired by, and lyrically based around, the films of Hollywood superstar Cary Grant. As an artist who’s received radio play from BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6Music, plus rave reviews from Louder Than War, RnR Mag and New Noise in recent years, Aubrie continues to stir-up fascination and interest in her music, through her highly individual thematic inspirations.

All tracks on the album are written by Aubrie and produced by Adam Ant drummer Andy Woodard. Also on the album is MD / co-writer for Morrissey and pioneer of the UK rockabilly movement Boz Boorer on guitar and keys, while Walter Coelho (Royksopp, Louis Vega, Deadmau5) mastered the release.

Says Aubrie about the album’s concept and lyrical theme; “Cary Grant is someone I admire greatly. He’s well known for being a master of reinvention. Coming from humble beginnings in Bristol, he ended up being a huge transatlantic movie star. I think every artist has a dream of who they want to be and Cary Grant famously said: “I pretended to be somebody I wanted to be until I finally became that person.” I found this deeply inspiring”.

Louise Aubrie is a London born and bred artist who splits her time between her hometown and New York City, bringing together her indie post-punk roots with rock and pop melodies. Having built up a following on America’s East Coast playing venues like New York’s Bowery Electric & Rockwood Music Hall, Louise already has three albums behind her including a top 5 in the Digital Radio Tracker’s National US Airplay Independent Chart and the most requested release on LA’s Indie 104 station. Now back in London for the summer, Louise is busy promoting the new album.
